Doreen Onwong’a

An avid researcher and problem solver, Doreen is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 7 years’ experience in legal practice.  A seasoned and focused individual, her strengths lie in real estate law and conveyancing, project finance, building and construction contracts, securitization, capital market transactions and general corporate commercial law.

Doreen, a Certified Secretary, always sees a diamond in the rough and believes that to stay curious is to learn something new.  She has impeccable negotiation skills and is adept at analyzing and providing solutions in legal matters in the real estate and investment fields.

Over the course of her career as a legal professional, she has acted as an outsourced Company Secretary to a licensed Fund Manager and leading real estate developers and provided governance advisory services.  She has led and conducted regulatory compliance and governance assignments in diverse companies and advised on corporate governance requirements for listed companies and market intermediaries.

Doreen is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Kenya.

Doreen enjoys spending time with her two children and loves a good story, be it in visual or print media. She is a Rotarian, and hopes she can find a way to give back and improve the lives of others in the same way others have impacted her life.
